I love crazy scarves. This one is ridiculously cozy and wonderful and whimsical.
I haven't had a post in quite awhile, thanks to an especially busy couple of weeks. I've finally managed to get my workload down enough to enjoy writing a little something for this blog.

I don't know if anyone actually needs a film review, because I tend to disregard them and watch whatever I want anyway - but if you happen to be inspired to watch a film because of me, I suppose my post will live up to it's purpose.
The film in question, the 2011 version of Jane Eyre:
I'm rather fond of the theatrical poster, because it exudes a certain atmosphere. Brooding, and distant but somehow distinctly present. That probably makes little to no sense - but it's true.
---
Now then:
As far as acting goes, Mia Wasikowska is undoubtedly talented, Micheal Fassbender is rather gorgeous and alluring, and maybe talented; I was generally staring at him with a little slobber, and the rest of the cast does a fair job. The chemistry between Mia and Micheal is lacking - nothing close to the Jane and Rochester longing that it ought to be.
That being said - the beautiful shots of scenery, the wonderful understanding of mood and atmosphere, and the stunning costuming makes the almost-2-hours-spent-of-your-life worthwhile.
To illustrate:
I feel cold - do you? |
Not only can I feel that luxurious fur - I envy those perfect sleeves and deliciously tempting couch/pillow combination. |
---...---...---
Verdict - watch it, especially for the sake of the brilliant atmosphere - but don't expect this to be a truly-to-the-book representation of Jane Eyre. It takes quite a few liberties here and there.
...
Hopefully, my schedule will allow for more regular postings now. Though typing that might've just jinxed it - we'll have to wait and see.
Until later~

You look really cute, though I think you should go with a little bit of color, you are really sweet :).
